Fascinated by natural and primitive marks, lines, crevasses, textures and layers, Sarah endeavours to capture the past. As a child, she was introduced to the countryside to explore the ancient and old, the primitive and archaeological, the dilapidated and the crumbling. These special memories have influenced Sarah in her haunting and emotional interpretations in both her abstract and contemporary life paintings. |

Sarah prepares each piece of art until it has a textured surface to work on that feels intriguing. Largely working with her hands, she enjoys using spatulas and scalpels, ink dippers, sand paper, pastes, plaster, sacking and scrim upon which acrylics and oils are worked into each piece with rags. |

Sarah has provided art for Interior Designers, Bo and Jangles, Red Row Homes, Ruth Whitehead and Associates, Montague's Gallery, and Murals in Israel. She has also exhibited her artwork in Dorset, London, Scotland and Nottingham. |
