Fascinated by natural and primitive marks, lines, crevasses, textures and layers, Sarah endeavours to capture both the past and the landscape with its ancient and old, primitive and archaeological, dilapidated and crumbling. These are the influences within Sarah's haunting and emotional interpretations in her seascapes, abstracts and contemporary life paintings. |

Sarah prepares each piece of art until it has a textured surface to work on that feels intriguing. Largely working with her hands, she enjoys using spatulas and scalpels, ink dippers, sand paper, pastes, plaster, sacking and scrim upon which acrylics and oils are worked into each piece with rags. |

Sarah Jack works as a professional artist and exhibits her work around the UK. |
